PITTSBURGH – A Kansas metal recycler has expanded the scope of its operations and opened a sister company to sell finished steel products.

Wichita-based All Metal Recycling LLC is now selling prime and secondary steel products the AMR Steel & Supply, which opened in April 1.

The new business adjacent to the scrapyard will deal primarily in new steel and reusable steel products, including beams, plates, tubular products, sheet, channels and angles. AMR general manager Rick Loveall said the company “plans to be the largest reusable player in the area”.

The inventoried steel is currently stored in racks and in a warehouse. Customers can order materials by phone and pick it up the same day, and there are plans to add a delivery service. Walk-In customers are also accepted.

While the recycling side of business handles about 200 customers per day, the finished sales division is projected to have up to 40 customers per day.

Going forward, AllMetal plans to continue to pursue organic growth. “We are planning on opening another scrap recycling center in Wichita sometime mid-summer,” operations manager Clint Cornejo told AMM. The location for that operation has not been determined.
